4th of July

Yesterday was the 4th of July and it was awesome!! We woke up early and went to our ward's breakfast full of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, and hashbrowns. Chris and I went back to the house and took a long nap while the rest of his family went to the parade. We were not going to be able to make it to the fireworks that night if we didn't get a nap. :) When we woke up, we went boating on Blacktail with a few friends. The sun was hot, the water was cool, and the company was great. I was the first one to get in the water and did a little surfing. It had been a year since I had done it, but I got right up! It was so much fun. Chris went right after me and he did awesome as well!

We ate some lunch, watched everyone else do some surfing and wakeboarding. Brother Meek did his air skiing which is so fun to watch. It's crazy!! 

It was a perfect day to be out on the water, and we definitely got plenty of sun. :) After we got home and cleaned up, we went down to the river to get out spot for the fireworks! I love getting funnel cake on the 4th of July, so we went and got some with strawberries on it, but I made Chris eat most of it cause I couldn't think of eating the whole thing after having just losing 5 pounds. I don't want to go backwards! But those few bites were delicious. Here is Chris finishing up the funnel cake.

And then we watched the fireworks! We were afraid of hitting a bunch of traffic when they were over, so we actually left a little before the finale so we could get home at a decent time.

Overall, it was a great day! And I was sad when it was over. Can't wait till next 4th of July! :)
