Okay, so this music video is dedicated to my Mom! :) When I was talking to her on the phone today, I told her how Haylee and I were going to "Party like it's 1999" for her birthday, she didn't quite get it. I kept trying to tell her that it was a song and she kept asking me what happened in 1999. It was very confusing. Haha, so this is for you Mom. The song "1999" by Prince!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYLEE!!!

Today was Haylee's birthday and she turned 24! Woohoo! Happy Birthday Haylee!! Anyways, it was a really nice day to celebrate and just have a relaxing day off of work.
We started our partying with going to the mall and getting a pedicure! It was soooo NICE! I LOVE PEDICURES! I was a little skeptical at first because a guy was doing mine, but he did an excellent job. My favorite part of course is the foot/leg massage at the end! I almost fell asleep! :) But you may not be able to really tell in the picture, but I got pink toenails with way cute flowers on my big toes and Haylee got french tips with flowers. A pedicure is always a nice way to celebrate ANYTHING! We then got some pizza and went to Target and did a little shopping. When we got back to Haylee's place we ate some of the cake that I made for her (Funfetti cake! Her favorite!).
Haylee refused to let me take a picture of her so that is why she is hiding behind the plate, and then I wanted to get a close up of the cake so you could see the awesome candles I put on top but my batteries died right then so by the time I put new batteries in, we had already eaten some of the cake. Haha But today was definitely a good day and I am glad I got to celebrate Haylee's birthday with her!
This is me trying to get a picture of me and Moscow but he just kept attacking my face! He can't just sit still ever!! :)

Happy Father's Day!

I just wanted to take some time and say Happy Father's Day to all the awesome dad's out there! And to also say Happy Father's Day to MY dad. :) Even though my dad passed away when I was very young, there are still so many things that I can remember about him that made him the best dad ever! He loved telling jokes and making everyone laugh wherever we went.
He taught us how to garden and all about hard work. It is because of him that I am addicted to Ice Cream! He always made sure we had a freezer full of ice cream, especially ice cream sandwiches. Mmmm. He loved to take us on family trips as much as he could whether it was to Disneyland, Lake Arrowhead, Sea World, Desert Hot Springs, or the beach, it was always good family time. My dad was AMAZING in the music area. He could pick up any instrument and just play. I remember spending many Sunday afternoons around the piano and all sing together while he played.
I was also very blessed to be able to have my father baptize me. Beth was able to as well, but Lindsay was not since he died when she was 7.
This is how we saw our Dad most of the time. He LOVED to video tape anything and everything that we did. We are very grateful he spent so much time recording our lives and things we did as a family so that we can watch them and enjoy them together and remember all the good times we had.
Today for Father's Day, Beth and I made sure to go over to the Orem City Cemetery where our father is buried (right next to our grandpa and uncle as well!), and visit his burial site. The cemetery was covered in many beautiful flowers and we enjoyed going there and cleaning off his grave and setting some flowers down for him.

New Tunage!!

So I finally ventured out to buy myself a brand new CD player for my car! My old one had been driving me crazy for so long. I would make all these cds on my laptop and then go out to my car to listen to them, and they WOULDN'T WORK! Ahhh! So after much frustration and me not being able to listen to my new downloads, I bought a new one! It's pretty nice, looks really good in my car, and it plays all my burned cds! And I have to give a HUGE thanks to my awesome brother in law Doug for putting it in for me! He needed a lot of patience to put it in, and he did a great job of it! THANKS DOUG! :) Now I can enjoy my drives even more. This is what it looks like!:

Back to Playing Tennis!

I played tennis all through Junior High and all through High School. I LOVED it! Being out of high school for 5 years and not being able to play everyday, I really miss it. That was my life back then and it was so much fun! Through tennis I was able to make so many good friends, some I am still in contact with, it was a good way to keep stress off, get a good daily workout, and learn about teamwork. I would get pretty competitive during my matches. It was really hard sometimes for me to not beat myself up everytime I missed a shot. But it just kept me to keep practicing and trying harder! Well I finally found someone to play tennis with every now and then, Mike! Mike was pretty good and did keep me running most of the time. :) Even though I beat him 6-0, he it was a lot of fun and I got pretty tired running to get his shots! We are definitely going to keep going back.
Look at that serve!!! haha

Use Sunscreen!

So yesterday, Haylee and I bought season passes to Seven Peaks! We went and hung out there for a few hours with our friend Corrin and her two little boys. It was actually a really nice day, perfect for getting a tan. Especially since I have slowly lost my tan over the past few years because moving from Texas and going from being outside playing tennis everyday for 4 years, to Utah where I never go outside and not many reasons to go outside (like NO beach!). Well, I bought a season pass for Seven Peaks so Haylee and I could go there frequently so I could reach my goal this summer of getting my tan back! So, we were there at Seven Peaks yesterday, laying out by the wave pool, we went on a few of their tube slides (which were AWESOME!), and watched the kids in the kiddie pool. I wasn't very smart and thought I didn't need to use sunscreen because we weren't there THAT long and I just didn't think I would burn! Stupid Me.....I got home and I was FRIED!!!! I could barely move my body. I put aloe vera lotion all over myself approximately 4 times last night before I went to bed, and today I have been trying to put it on every few hours! Thankfully my arms have lost their redness and my face didn't get that bad, but my legs, chest, and back are so burnt! I have tried to not move around too much today and just keep hoping it will go away SOON! So yes, I have definitely learned my lesson. From now on, I will always and forever, Use Sunscreen! :)

Katie's Shower

Today was Katie's bridal shower! Her and I worked at the MTC together for a year about 3 years ago and now she is getting married to Tagg on July 5th! Her bridal shower was so much fun thrown by her sister Meg. We had a delicious lunch with sandwiches, sushi, chips and dip, strawberries, cookies, and oh yes, Better than Sex cake! Or should I say, "Better than S" cake. Haha. Anyway, we ate, got to hear the awesome stories about how they met, etc., and played fun games! We played "Who Knows Katie the Best", another one where we had to unscramble words that related to weddings and marriage, and "Wedding Pictionary". (I lost at all of them. haha), but they were really fun! And then of course, present time. :) Congratulations Katie!

Me and Katie!!

TAG!!! You're It!

Well, I have just been tagged (thanks Haylee! :D ), so now you all get to learn 6 things about me that you may not have known! Enjoy!1. When I was younger, I was pigeon-toed! Yes, I walked funny and I had to wear "special shoes". They were these huge, ugly brown shoes, but they obviously helped cause now I don't walk like that anymore!

2. I LOVE movies and reading! If I could go to the movie theater everyday, I totally would! I am also a member of like 3 DVD clubs where I spend a lot of time choosing the DVD's that I spend a lot of money on. :) Now that I am out of school, I can spend my time reading books that I CHOOSE to read instead of those nasty textbooks. I have become a fan of Sarah Dessen, Kate Brian, Stephanie Meyer, and Deb Caletti!
3. My number one weakness is Ice Cream. I can NEVER say no to ice cream! So if you ever want me to do something for you and you add ice cream in it, there is no way that I will refuse. :)
4. I think that smoking is the nastiest, most disgusting habit that anyone can ever have! Ugh. Smelling it, watching people waste away their days outside of restaurants and houses instead of enjoying that time with their family and friends, and seeing people be controlled by this small, processed leaf cylinder with white paper wrapping that only brings pain and suffering to their life is just SAD. JUST SAY NO!!
5. I have a secret crush on Zac Efron (but I guess that's not a secret anymore! :D ). I LOVE High School Musical and Hairspray and anything else that he is in! Woohoo!
6. I am a huge fan of SLEEPING! It's one of my favorite things to do. If I don't get at least 8 hours of sleep, I am not a very happy person. Thank goodness I have a job where I don't have to be there till 3pm cause I am also a night owl, so I stay up real late, and sleep all morning. One of my least favorite things to do is to have to set my alarm clock.
Here are the people that I have decided to Tag!!
*Bethany
*Doug
*Katelyn
*Mike
*Robbie
*Carrie
