Spring City!

This past Saturday, Doug, Bethany, and I spent the day in Spring City visiting our good friends Carrie and Chris Carlton! It was such a great day and I am so glad we got to take the time to go down there and see them. We hadn't seen each other in many years and it was so good to catch up. The day was full of fun things and lots of laughter. They have a Wii Fit and it was really fun to play all the different games on there and see who could get the best score (you can see a really funny video of Beth doing the hula hoop game on her blog). The balancing games were the most fun, yet I wasn't very good at them. :) We also took their 4 wheelers out and rode up the mountain by their house. It was a very beautiful ride and we all came back very dirty, but it was definitely worth it. I hadn't ridden a 4 wheeler since I was 15 and I have decided that it is a very good form of transportation. We saw many people riding around that town on them. That night we ate a very good dinner with yummy grilled turkey and trout that Chris had just caught the night before! Mmmm. It was so nice to be able to take the day off and just relax and have fun with friends. We should have started doing it a long time ago. Thanks Carrie and Chris for letting us come down and eat your food and play your Wii! It was great!

Officialness (is that even a word?!)

Okay, so I guess by posting something here, it makes it official, right? Well, that's what I am about to do concerning the recent BIG decision I have made for my life! I am moving to.........Idaho! Yep it's true! Specifically, Idaho Falls. I will be moving in with our good friends the Lee's who my family has been friends with since I was 11 years old. We met them in Texas and the rest is history. I am very excited cause they are a GREAT family! They are nice enough to even let me live there for free! I will have cooking duty every now and then but that won't bother me cause boy do I love to cook, and there will be no more cooking for just myself (man that can be so lame sometimes) so that is a plus. All of this came together while I was visiting them last week. I really didn't have the intention of seeing if I would want to move up there, it sort of just happened and I know it's the right thing to do cause of how fast it all fell into place. I found a few ads in the paper for some jobs so I updated my resume and faxed them in. Not even 10 minutes after I faxed them in, did I have calls about coming in for interviews! So after 3 interviews, the lady I interviewed with 3rd wanted to hire me on the spot cause she said I would be perfect for the job. The position is called "PsychoSocial Rehabilitation Specialist". I will be working with people of all ages from 4 years old to adults who struggle with different mental illnesses to teach them different skills and be able to maintain independence in the community to prevent movement in a more restrictive living condition. I am pretty nervous about it cause it sounds pretty intense, but hopefully I can take the things I have learned from my classes I took from BYU and my experience at PCS and be able to do a good job!

I will be packing up and leaving on the 29th of this month, so if you wanna say goodbye to me, you better do it soon! :) But don't worry, I will be coming down and visiting Provo pretty frequently cause there are just some people here who I can't be away from for very long! There are many things I am going to miss about Provo, but I feel I have done my time here and I need to move on to different things, more opportunities, experiences, and moving up in life. Wish me luck!
A little peek at where I am moving to!

Good in Everything

Well, I guess it's true that you can find good in every bad thing that happens. So because we have to wait longer for Harry Potter, we get to see Twilight sooner!! Yay! Twilight will be taking the place of when Harry Potter was going to come out on November 21st! I Love Twilight! I decided that I am probably going to either really love the movie, or just really hate it. I wonder which one it's gonna be! Not that much longer to wait to find out. :) And of course, I have to put the trailer for it! Haha

Dang You Warner Bros!

I just wanted to let everyone know how upset I am about Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie is going to be postponed for 8 months!!! And only because they think it will make more money in the summer rather than the winter?! WHY?!!! The movie is complete and yet they are still going to make us wait even longer......what is this world coming to? :) How am I going to get my annual Harry Potter fix now? :) Well, I guess there is nothing I can do about it and pouting is gonna get me nowhere. So I will just have to wait till July 17, 2009! And it will give me more time to read the book again. Here is the trailer for it for anyone who hasn't seen it! Enjoy!

Don't Judge Me

Okay so last night I went to the Premiere Midnight showing of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2!! I went with my friends Amelia and Erica and it was so EXCITING! I just love those movies and I think they are very entertaining even if they are a little bit corny. :) It sure had some good looking guys though! Haha So we went to the movie theater in American Fork for the midnight showing and it was just great. So what if I was the oldest person in the room! So what if it only got a 76% in the reviews! So what if it didn't follow the book hardly AT ALL! The movie was very positive, the actresses were so great, and a good show for the "best-friend" "mother-daughter" public. I HAVE NO REGRETS! :)

We went and got shaved ice from "Ella Good" right before. The guy behind me and Amelia is Clark and then the guy behind him is this awesome guy we saw there who was on these crazy jumping stilts things and was jumping all over the place, in the street, off trashcans!

Happy 22!

The Birthday Girl

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH!!! Today was Bethany's birthday and now we are the same age! Every year we are the same age for about 6 weeks cause we are 10 1/2 months apart, so we will both be 22 until I turn 23 on September 18! Anyway, it was a really fun night and I am so glad I was able to celebrate her birthday with her. We went out to eat with them and our friend Landon and their friends Laurel, Matt, and Derek at Red Lobster. Boy was it GOOD! Beth and I got this Hawaiian salmon and coconut shrimp. Mmmmm I could not get enough of it! After dinner we went back to Doug and Beth's and ate some cookie dough ice cream cake from Dairy Queen and enjoyed sitting around talking. It was a very good night and I love birthdays!

A Fun Weekend

Okay, so this post is gonna let you in on my awesome weekend! Seriously, it was great and very eventful. First off, Friday night was my good friend Angela's wedding reception! I have known Angela since I was 7, I was her roommate last year, and I was there through the whole process of her meeting Brad, them dating, and getting engaged! It was so wonderful! Her reception was BEAUTIFUL. It was located at the Tahitian Gardens and the set up was just great. I went with my old roommate Britt and we met our other old roommate Marisa there, and met new friends while we were there. Angela was just gorgeous in her wedding dress and Brad looked just perfect at her side in his white suit. Anyway, the reception was very elegant, the food was DELICIOUS, they had every kind of cake you can think of, and the music and dancing was very entertaining. It was really nice to be able to catch up with old friends and be able to share that day with Angela. Congratulations Angela and Brad!

After the reception, Haylee and I had to get over to Barnes and Noble to pick up our copy of Breaking Dawn!
The doors opened at 12:01am, but we decided to get there around 11pm so we could get a spot in line so we wouldn't be there TOO long. :) There were so many people there of many shapes, sizes, ages, and gender. Haha It was kind of funny seeing some boys there ALONE buying the book for THEMSELVES. I didn't think guys were really into those books, but it made me happy that they were! It was fun to see many people dressed up and seeing people act crazy and randomly scream out "Edward!" every now and then. Haylee and I finally made it inside the store around 1:10am, and once we got inside the line moved very quickly and we were able to get out and go home so we could start reading! By the way, I am only on page 328 right now, so DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING!!! Seriously, I will be very mad at you for a very long time. But so far, I LOVE IT!

Last night, Robbie and I went up to Salt Lake for some Cheesecake Factory and IMAX theater! We got up there about 8pm and the wait for Cheesecake Factory was about 55-75 minutes!! So we put our name on the list and went over to the Jordan Commons to pick up our tickets for "The Dark Knight" in IMAX! I had never been to that theater before and never seen a movie in IMAX before. I had never been to the Cheesecake Factory before either, so that night was full of excitement on my part! We drove back to The Cheesecake Factory after we got our tickets and tried to decide what we wanted to order while we waited for our name to be called. It is a pretty difficult thing to do, especially for me since I am a pretty bad decision maker, when the menu is like 27 pages long! But I finally made a choice and it was delectable. We shared the avocado egg rolls (amazing by the way) and then I ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich and Chocolate Oreo Mudslide cheesecake. YUMMY! We were running short of time so we took our cheesecake to go and ate it at the theater while we watched the movie! The movie was AWESOME, it really didn't feel like 3 hours to me cause I was so absorbed the whole time wondering what the Joker was going to come up next. Heath Ledger was AMAZING in his role and did a very great job. Yes, he was pretty scary and I definitely had nightmares, but he filled it perfectly. A MUST SEE!
