I just got home from seeing the new Indiana Jones movie with my friends Clark and Brandon and let me just say, I LOVED IT! There was a part at the end that was kind of weird that had aliens in it, but it wasn't enough to ruin the movie for me, so that was great! I haven't seen any of the other ones, so I am glad I was still able to understand it and enjoy it without having to. Also, Shia LaBeouf was definitely a nice addition to the movie, and made it more entertaining. :) Even though he is 19 years older than he was in his last advanture, Harrison Ford doesn't let us down. He puts on that leather jacket and fedora and becomes the best ever to dodge bullets, death traps, and flesh-devouring ants.
This is me wishing Lindsay a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am sorry we weren't able to be there to celebrate with you! But I hope it was still a great day and Hey, you aren't a teenager anymore! Woohoo! Anyway, Happy Birthday! I hope all your wishes came true! :) 
Okay, so have any of you read or started reading Stephanie Meyer's new book "The Host"?! I have started, but I have to literally force myself to read it hoping that it gets better. I feel so stupid as I read it because I don't understand ANYTHING!!! As it talks about "seekers", and "hosts", and "wanderers" I can't seem to know what the plot is, what is happening, or who the characters are! I don't know....maybe some help please?! Tell me what is supposed to be going on in this book so maybe I could finish it! :) 
So I just spent the last two days in Goblin Valley with some of the students from my work and it was AMAZING!! For those of you who haven't been, you should defnitely make it one of your next family trips. It is so beautiful down there, so secluded, so peaceful. It's about 3 hours SE from Provo and definitely OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! 
As soon as we got down there we started our trip off with a 9 mile hike around Little Wild Horse trail that took us almost 6 hours. We took our time to travel through the slot canyon, very skinny and narrow at times, learn how to canyoneer, and enjoy a picnic lunch on the beautiful red rocks. We were all very sore and sunburned when we got back to our campsite but that made for a soundless and full night's sleep! Our trip also included cooking hot dogs, chili, and cherry cobbler over the fire, playing "Sherriff's and Outlaws" around the rocks, looking at the stars in the big clear sky, and HUGE nasty stink beatles.
Another awesome thing that we were able to do down there was go explore the actual reason why it's called Goblin Valley! Goblin Valley was first founded by cowboys searching for cattle and then another man found it when he was looking for an alternative route between Green River and Cainsville and found five-buttes and a valley of strange-shaped rock formations surrounded by a huge wall of eroded cliffs. It's so easy to just spend hours exploring that place and looking at the wonderful scenery. Even though it was full of sweat, aches, dirt, sleepiness, it was definitely fun, worry free, bonding experience. 
I wanted to catch you up on what is happening with my sisters and my mom. 
My Mom got married this past October to a really great man named Lee McCray. He is really funny, a gentleman, and treats my mom right. He does real estate. It was a very surprising thing for us. Though they did know each other for 3 years, we just never knew about him. We didn't even know they were dating and then the weekend of the October Conference, my mom called me and said she was engaged and probably getting married in November! A week later she called me and said she was getting married that Friday! So I hurried and got work off that weekend, and left early Friday morning, drove all day so I could make it home for the ceremony. It was a small, nice ceremony with all their closest friends and family. I was so glad I was able to be there for her. She is still working at her brother's property management office "Tiner Properties", doing their accounting. She is really happy and they are living at Lee's place in Carmichael. 
Bethany has been married almost a year now (will be on the 23rd)! Her and Doug are doing really well. They bought a townhouse when they first got married that was run down and fixed it all up. They made it look really nice and recently sold it to our friend's the Skaggs. They are currently living in a cute apartment in Provo and loving their jobs. They will be taking many trips this summer to Brazil, Vegas, Boston. 
Lindsay joined the Army Reserves a year ago and is playing the French Horn in the Army Band. She is doing so well with that. She is so talented and could pretty much pick up any instrument and start playing it by ear, just like our Dad used to do! She also has a great job as a Sales Associate at Express and is learning a lot about fashion and working in retail. She gets to see our older sister Teri and her family a lot more than we do since she lives out in Kentucky.
Hey! I just wanted to tell everyone how much I LOVE the Private series books by Kate Brian. They are AMAZING and I think everyone should read them. The 7th book, Ambition, just came out on Monday and I have already bought it and finished it! It is soooo good! But now I have to wait until September for the next one! What a long wait. You may think they might be a little juvenille, but I totally disagree. It's about the journey of Reed Brennan, her arrival at Easton Academy, and the choices she has to make to fit in at this new school and becoming a Billings Girl. They just get better and better each one you read. They are full of s
uspense, love, backstabbing, friendship, blackmail, tragedy, and figuring out what is more important in life: reputation or making the "right" choice. You will just have to read them to see what I mean! The order of the books is: Private, Invitation Only, Untouchable, Confessions, Inner Circle, Legacy, Ambition, and Revelation (comes out in September).
Last month, my mom, Bethany, Lindsay, and I got to take a trip to Southern California together. We all met in Long Beach. Bethany and I flew in from Salt Lake, Lindsay came in from Kentucky, and my mom from Sacramento. The four of us hadn't all been together in a few years, so it was really nice to see each other. We stayed in Laguna Beach at my mom's sister Carol's. The weather was so nice and it was fun to see all our cousins we hadn't seen in forever. We spent the week doing lots of shopping at Fashion Island, the Spectrum, and almost every mall in Orange County! :)
Of course we had to go to Disneyland and California Adventure. That was a really good day. Our mom realized that she was just too old for Disneyland anymore, we went on all the best rides including ones that took us back to our childhood (Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Snow White), and of course I HAD to get a churro. It's tradition! One of my favorite parts of our trip was going to Hollywood and seeing the Broadway play, "Wicked". It was AMAZING! Best show ever and the performer's voices just gave me goosebumps! I totally recommend everyone should see this play before they die. The trip was great and it was so nice to get away from all the stress of work and relax for a week.
Well, I am sure many of you have been wondering what in the heck is going on with Megan?! Ever since I graduated from BYU last August 2007, I have been very busy with adapting to life out of school, being a REAL grown-up, and working at the best job anyone can ever have! I am working as a counselor/mentor at Provo Canyon School. It is a treatment center for teenagers who are dealing with drug/alcohol addictions, depression, behavior problems, academic difficulties, abuse, anything you can think of, it's there. Though there are days that may seem extremely difficult or emotionally draining, I wouldn't trade it for anything else. It is so rewarding to be able to help these girls start a new life. I can actually use the things that I learned during my 4 years at BYU and see real-life outcomes! My degree is not going to waste! 
I tend to spend my time working, catching up on sleep, spending time with my awesome friends and family, watching movies, going to the gym, downloading LOTS of music, catching up on my scrapbook, and my new favorite thing: READING. I can finally spend my time reading books that I CHOOSE to read, instead of boring text books.
You are probably wondering WHERE the heck I am too, huh? Well, after spending the past 8 months in an itty bitty apartment with awful management (but had the greatest 5 roommates ever!), I am spending the summer living with my great friends Mike and Katelyn Olsen. They have been nice enough to give their spare bedroom to me and deal with me coming home so late at night, sle
eping the mornings away, my love of playing my music up loud, and taking up space in the bathroom with my various objects (make-up, shampoo, hair straightener, toothbrush, many remedies to try and calm my crazy hair, and large supply of Nyquil) everywhere. But I enjoy being in a place with people I love. It's going to be a GREAT summer!
