The Zoo!

Yesterday, we all took a trip over to the zoo that they have here in Idaho Falls. It's definitely nowhere near as big as the San Diego Zoo, but it was still very fun and we got to see a lot of animals! My favorite part were the penguins. It was almost their feeding time and you could tell that they knew it was coming, cause they were all standing in a line by the little door that the zoo worker puts the food in from. :) It was so cute! We saw lots of different kinds of birds, red-haired pandas, llamas, zebras, lions, and tigers. I never realized how much bigger tigers are than lions, but they are such BEAUTIFUL animals! I could sit and watch the otters for hours. The zoo worker had just stuck in some fish in the tank for them to find and eat and one of the otters got that fish open and ate it so fast! The other one was still trying to bite the tail off the whole time the other one ate its whole fish. They were so fun. I would have to say that my favorite part was the monkey house. They had so many different kinds of monkeys and it's so amazing how similar they are to humans. I bet you didn't know that 98% of monkey's DNA is the same as humans, huh? Well it is! Crazy! We were watching these two monkeys and we were pretty close to the glass, and all of a sudden one of them swung down the ropes and body slammed right up to the glass where my friend's 89 year old great grandma was standing and scared her to death! It was hilarious! The zoo was a whole lot of fun, but I wish there could have been some elephants and bears there. :)
