Another Wednesday

Guess what day it is! WEDNESDAY!! And we all know what that means in the world of Megan....Weigh In day! And since today was the halfway mark for my class, we also did our full body assessments to see our progress. First, to get the bad news over with, I have once again lost no pounds. BUT, I have gained no pounds as well. So that's good. :) I have had a difficult two weeks, steering off the path a bit, but I am motivated once again, and this next month, I am going to ROCK IT! Haha. So, we measured our body fat, inches lost, water/protein/lean weight, and measured skinfolds. So this is how I have done so far:

* I have lost 3% body fat. I am now in the "Fair" category, where a month ago I was in "Needs Work", and if I lose 10 more pounds I will be in the "Fit" category! :)
* I have lost 6 pounds of Total Weight, but 8.4 pounds of Fat Weight.
* I have gained 3.2 pounds of Lean Weight, 2.4 pounds of Water Weight, and 0.8 pounds of Protein Weight (I am told all this is good. So yay)
* I have lost an inch off my waist and 1 1/2 inches off my hips
* Finally, I have lost 3.2 mm off my Triceps Skinfold, 2.5 mm off my Suprallium Skinfold (which is the top front of the hip bone), and 7.8 mm off my Thigh Skinfold!!!

This is basically for my personal information, but I am just so happy that I have been having such great results, and my goal is to have even better results in a month at our last body assessment. So yep, this is a good program if you actually stick to it! I am going to do better! :)

Michael Scott: We're all going to die, of obesity. So how much are we gonna lose?
Jim Halpert: I would like to lose 65 pounds.

Hair

So.....I kinda want to get my hair done like this:What do you think? :)
Pam: I bought my veil.
Kelly: Oh my God! That is so exciting! Can I be a bridesmaid?
Pam: Ummm...
Kelly: Listen, you don't have to answer now. But how are you going to do your hair?
Pam: Ok. I was thinking about wearing it down. Kind of like, I don't know, like loose with big curls and...
Kelly: You'd look like an angel. I'm seriously going to cry.
Michael: Wowweee. Mikey likey. Why don't you wear your hair like that all the time. It's much sexier. [Pam puts hair back up] [Michael walks by Jim] Man, this must be torture for you.

Dating Life

Don't worry, this isn't about MY dating life. :) That is totally non-existent right now, but that's okay cause I still love talking about dating and learning about dating and thinking about dating. :) I just wanted to tell you all about a conversation I had with my 11 year old client today that was so funny! I just love the things kids say sometimes. It's just so great. So, I picked her up from school today and she was just super happy about something. But she wouldn't tell me why, all she said was "I am very happy today", but she wouldn't tell me why!! We were almost to the library, and she finally tells me why. "It's because of Gabe. That's why I am so happy." "Oooooh Gabe, huh?" I said. "And WHY does he make you so happy?" She then goes on to tell me that he asked her out today but she hasn't responded yet. I asked her what was holding her back from responding, and she told me that he was friends with all the boys that she liked, and if she said yes to going out with him she would have to hang out with all the boys she liked and it would be too hard to just focus on Gabe since she liked all the boys. :) Haha. She then mentioned that "It would be so nice to know right now who I am going to marry." (She is 11!). I said, "Yeah I would like to know that too!!" Now listen to this....this is exactly the words she said (I know this because I wrote it down right when she said it to me cause it was so funny I didn't want to forget it!), "You are not a kid. There are so many cute boys in your world when you are a kid it's hard to just choose one!" (apparently when you get as old as me, the choices get a lot smaller so it shouldn't be that hard to know or choose who you will marry, right?! haha). Anyway, I tried to convince her that it was okay to like just one guy at a time, but she wouldn't buy it. Such drama in the 5th grade. :)

While we were at the library I got the book on CD "He's Just Not That Into You". I saw the movie but now I want to read the book, and listening to it while I drive everywhere is so great! So far it's pretty funny and SO TRUE! :) Seriously, if a boy likes you, he will ask you out. So why do we worry so much about every little thing?! Who knows.....Well, I do have two dates this week, so we will see what happens. Haha For your pleasure, some cute "kid romance" pics. :)

Jim: I'm in an office relationship. It's special. Um... she's nice. She's shy. She's actually here. You want to meet her? Hold on one second. Oh, my God! Put on a shirt! Put on a... . I told you that you'd be on camera. I'm sorry, she's European. No, I told you that you'd be on camera. Stop it.

Adventures in Island Park

I had THE BEST time this weekend. My ward got to go up to Island Park and stay in a couple cabins up there and have fun with each other. I wish I had pictures, but my camera decided to die at the wrong time, of course. The drive up there was a little icy and slippery but I enjoyed everybody that was in the car with me. When we got to the cabin, we all found a bed to sleep on (I stayed in a room with Cassie) and then we got dinner ready, which was a DELICIOUS steak dinner. After we ate a member of our stake presidency was there and he gave a little fireside about happiness that was so inspiring and wonderful. I learned so much and it gave me so much hope. After the fireside, we all decided to stay up a little longer to play games. We played a little Apples to Apples, Spoons, Charades, and a very violent game of I have Never. Haha We didn't go to bed until 2am, but it was definitely worth it cause of how much fun it was! The night was very short and I didn't get much sleep, but when morning came I was revved up and ready to go for what we had in store for the day. The girls were in charge of making breakfast and it was another delicious meal (pancakes, bacon, fruit, hashbrowns, and orange juice), and then the boys were in charge of cleaning up. Once we were all finished with breakfast came the BEST part! We got to go snowmobiling! I was so excited cause it was my first time doing it and it was so great. They had collected about 12 snowmobiles and so we went in two groups. We got all bundled up in our snow clothes and headed out! I rode with my friend Dusty since I had no idea what to do. It was so beautiful out there on the trail, and I liked it when we would go really fast. HAHA We went on a lot of bumps that made me come off the seat a little bit and that was kind of scary, but I survived! There were also other times where I had to hold on for dear life cause Dusty would go really fast and then try to push me off. We stopped at Big Springs where there is a little river with HUGE fish in it. It was really cool. I loved the little trip and I can't wait for when I can do it again! When we got back to the cabin, the other group went and we stayed and watched "The Italian Job" and did a lot of snacking. We had lunch (Taco Soup Mmmm) when everyone was back, then we packed everything up, loaded the cars, and drove back to IF! I was really sad we had to go back. I didn't want to leave such a beautiful place and come back to real life. :( But I guess it had to happen sometime. The very first thing I did when I got home was take a shower! I felt so dirty and gross, it felt so good to be clean again.
This isn't us, but you can pretend it is....:)
Then I went out with my friend Krystale and her friend Jess and we saw "He's Just Not That Into You". It was so good! Very funny. Inspiring about the opposite sex :). Made me want a boyfriend really bad. And made me even cry a little bit. I didn't like the characters that Scarlett Johansson and Bradley Cooper played, but it was still way good (Ben Afflek and Jennifer Aniston were my favorite!). So you all need to go see it!!

Pam: Michael just rented The Devil Wears Prada. He has his NetFlix sent here to the office, and he watches them in pieces when things are slow.

Michael: Steak! Where's my steeaaak?
Pam: He's a big Meryl Streep fan, so I shouldn't be surprised that he's identified with her character.

Week Three!

I kind of didn't want to do this post, but because I said I would keep you posted each week, I guess I will.....This week was not very good to me. There were a lot of stuff that has happened this past week to cause me to kind of slack off and not keep up with everything I have to do with my class and my goal. Like I said in my previous post I ate so many naughty things: ice cream, pizza, chinese, ice cream again, and then it was the Super Bowl and we all know what that means. And then the last few days I have had these awful pains in my upper abdomen, lower chest area that have been killer and I was told to take it easy so I haven't worked out since Friday. Then I took my 12 year old client out to lunch today since I am not going to be working with her anymore after Monday cause I am quitting that agency. Anyway, we had our weigh in tonight at my class and guess what....I lost NOTHING!! I was happy that I didn't gain anything, but I really thought I had lost maybe one pound. According to my tracking, it tells me I should have lost a pound but maybe it will take a day or two to show up. :) But I want you all to know that I am back on track! I am feeling better, I am motivated, I have awesome support, and next week is going to be better! Even with me going to Island Park for the weekend with my ward where we will have steak and probably lots of ice cream and sweets, but Krystale and Cassie you guys are going to be there to help me!! Until we meet again......Darryl: Well you lost, zero pounds. No change. On the brighter side, you've gained zero pounds.

Vocal Point

Last night I got to go up to Rexburg to visit my friend Katie and see Vocal Point! For all of you who don't know who Vocal Point is, you are seriously missing out. They are an acapella group from BYU and are AMAZING! It was Katie's first time seeing them so I was glad I got to introduce her to them and she really liked them too! And another thing about them....they are HOTT! (especially Mike! :) Haha Anyway, Katie and I went out to eat before at Fong's, the chinese restaurant right across from campus. Rexburg is a pretty cute place. Everything is so close to each other. The temple is BEAUTIFUL (It was my first time seeing the temple up close). And it makes me kind of miss the "social" part of college life. The concert was so good and they are so entertaining! I have been to many of their concerts and I just feel like they get better and better each time I go, and their song choices are perfect. I definitely need to get their CD's soon! This isn't a very good picture of us, but here is Katie and me right before the concert started! Thanks Katie for going with me! Andy: Big Tuna is a super ambitious guy, you know? Cut-your-throat-to-get-ahead type of guy. But, I mean, I'm not threatened by him. I went to Cornell. Ever heard of it? I graduated in four years, I never studied once, I was drunk the whole time, and I sang in the a capella group, 'Here Comes Treble'.

Super Bowl Sunday

Well I am sitting here watching the Super Bowl and there are three thoughts going through my head right now: 1) I am seriously going to have to work extra hard this week to make up for everything that I have eaten this weekend. I was so bad! Went out for ice cream on Friday, had pizza at work on Saturday and went out for Chinese Saturday night, then today....well it's SUPER BOWL SUNDAY so we all know what that means! Lots of chips and dip, lots of swedish fish, lots of brownies, lots of chicken. :) 2) I honestly have not really kept up with the game...I pay attention to the commercials and they have been HILARIOUS! But I couldn't really tell you what has happened in the game. I am just here for the food. Haha and 3) I am feeling so good about life right now it's nuts! My prayers have been answered, I am feeling very confident in my decisions, I am excited for nursing school, and have met a lot of great people lately. Bring it on future! I am not scared ANYMORE!

Life is good. I am glad this game is almost over cause then I can watch The Office! Yay! :) Go Steelers!

Andy: Hey, just listen. I forgot to tell you the plan for this Saturday. You, me, bar, beers, buzzed, wings, shots, drunk, waitresses hot, football Cornell/Hosfstra, slaughter, then quick nap at my place and then we hit the tizzown.
