I am sitting here waiting for the second loaf of Zucchini bread that I have made today to finish baking. I am kind of obsessed with zucchini bread lately. I have made about 5 loafs in the past week, and I may or may not have eaten MOST of them myself.....I left some for Chris too. :) But I LOVE it so much! I have a couple of blog posts to catch up on and Lyla is sleeping, so I figured this is the perfect time. Poor girl got her shots today and has been very sad. It makes me sad that I can't take away her pain! But I gave her some Tylenol, wrapped her up and put her in her swing and she was out. :(
Last Sunday was Lyla's Blessing Day! It was a really great day. Chris had a bunch of family come in town from various places. His grandparents, aunt, and uncle came down from Canada. His sister came from Provo, and a few cousins from Salt Lake! Then many of his family from Rigby came as well as some of our good friends who have always been there for us.
My mom and Esther went in together and bought Lyla her dress. It has lace, ribbon, and is so beautiful. I found a super fun headband to go with it as well. It was so fun to dress her that morning! She looked perfect. :)
We felt very loved when we walked in the chapel and saw all of our friends and family there for us. I wish some of my family could have been there as well, but I know that it's hard when we live so far away from each other. My mom and Bethany were here when Lyla was born and that meant much more to me. Chris did a beautiful job on her blessing and she didn't cry at all. :) It was cool cause we had 2 other baby blessings in our ward after ours. There were so many people in our ward that day and it just felt so special to be in that room.

After Sacrament we all went over to Esther and Jared's for a big yummy lunch. Esther made Ham and funeral potatoes, and then everyone contributed some sort of salad. Chris loves this vegetable salad I make where I put a bunch of cut of fresh vegetables (bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, olives, broccoli, cauliflower) and put sour cream, ranch dressing mix and lemon juice on top. It's pretty good, so that's what we contributed. We were hoping the weather would be nice so we could eat outside, but you know Idaho weather, so unpredictable and windy! So we had to fit like 40 people inside their house, but fortunately it worked out pretty well! It was so nice to see everyone and get to visit. What a great day! Thank you to everyone who were a part of our baby girl's special day. We love you!
Haha, had to move all the layers of the dress when I went to change her diaper :)
