I turned 28 weeks this past Saturday, which means I am officially in the 3rd Trimester! I can't believe how fast time is going by. We are getting so close to the end and will be able to hold our little girl soon! We are really excited! People have been so generous in giving us clothes and toys and many other things we will need for our baby. I am thinking she might not be able to wear all the clothes we have for her! :) Haha The nursery is getting closer and closer to getting done. It's been so fun working on it.
So apparently the baby is the size of an eggplant now. :) She is developing more fat and her lungs are mature enough that she would probably survive if she was born now. But hopefully not! I want her to stay in much longer.
She kicks all the time! I love it cause it lets me know she is still in there. Her kicks are definitely getting harder and harder though, which sometimes makes me buckle over. But I will take it! :) I have started to feel Braxton Hicks contractions which aren't always fun. And sleep is starting to get harder and harder. It takes a while to find a comfortable position and I usually need a snack at 4am.
My doctor appointments have been going well. I like getting to go more often. I still love hearing the heartbeat each time. I took the Glucose test yesterday, and I passed! Yay! No Gestational Diabetes for me!
Honestly I have no idea how much weight I have gained so far. I close my eyes when I get on the scale, and the nurses or my doctor has never said anything about it so I guess it's been fine. I am thinking it's around 20 pounds. But I am not thinking about it too much. I will just work hard to lose it after she is out!
We are still trying to decide which hospital we want to deliver at and who we want as our Pediatrician. We will figure that out soon. Chris is having surgery tomorrow. He is getting his tonsils taken out and his deviated septum fixed. I am sure it will go really well, but please keep him in your prayers! He is not excited for the pain it will bring or the time he has to take off work. But we know it will make things a lot better with his health and ability to sleep.
