Changes

My first week of school is done and am starting the second! I am loving every second of it. We got to put rollers in our mannequin heads to make them really curly and then we had to come up with our own "up do". I am not gonna lie...mine was kinda sucky. It would have been better if we had more time and I got to use fun things like flowers or jewels. But it was just a practice so we could get a feel with the curls and stuff. Tonight we are doing finger waves on each other! If you don't know what finger waves our (don't worry, I didn't know until last week when we learned about them :), they are kind of like 1940ish style curls, they are popular in all the fashion magazines right now, and here is a picture of an example:
So maybe I will take a picture of mine tonight! HAHA Anyway, other than that, Jared and I have broken up. He has moved to Utah to start life there, living with his brother. I am really excited for him and happy that he can go to school down there and have lots of fun! As for me, I am staying busy with school, and work, working out, and have been blessed with awesome friends and family! Sometimes life doesn't go the way you planned or thought it would go. But, there are lessons in everything, and I am a much better person because of those lessons I learned with Jared.
Well, I gotta go to school. I am doing well and loving life. Just taking things as they come! What a beautiful Spring Day! :)

School

Well I have gotten through the first two days of class and so far they have been AWESOME! There are 7 of us girls in the freshman class and they are so great. We have really bonded super fast. That's a good thing since we will be together so many hours of the day for the next 12 months! :) I was afraid I was gonna be the oldest one there, but I am not! There is a girl who is 25. The others are 18, 19, 21, 22, and 23! Yesterday we just went over the rules. Today we got our bags, hats, shirts, and jackets! I feel so official! Yet I think I will feel even more official once we get our kits with all our brushes and scissors and everything. :) Its so EXCITING! We learned about sanitation and how to do consultations with our clients and watched the movie "My Date with Drew". Tomorrow we get to do scalp treatments on each other!!!! I am seriously so excited about all of it and can't wait to go to class the next day! I am so happy!! Sorry if this feels like I am screaming at you all, I don't mean to! haha Anyway, just wanted to let you know that things are really good and I feel super good about this choice and feel at home there. Yay. Here is a picture of me with my hat and my jacket on! Yes, I know it's a little cheesy.

A Dream Come True

Hi everyone! I am home sick today....I have actually been feeling ill since Tuesday and been hoping this would all be gone by now, but it hasn't. I have spent a lot of time in my bed this week. Not really done a whole lot other than sleep or work. And right now as I finish up eating some soup and am in between naps, I should catch you all up on some exciting news! I am going to be starting Cosmetology School on Monday!!! I have wanted to do this my whole life and have been putting it off and putting it off, mainly cause I am just scared to go back to school. I have enjoyed the no homework, free nights thing, but I think this will be a little different and I think I will LOVE IT! It kind of happened super fast. I have been debating on whether I should do it here, or go down to utah to do it or what. But Wednesday on my lunch break, a thought came into my head of, "Megan, just check to see when the next class starts here in Idaho Falls." So I got online and it said, April 19th! So I immediately got on the phone, called the owner of the school and got it all figured out! I figured out my financial aid, filled out the school application and took it over there, and sorted out my work schedule! All in a matter of a few days and now I am gonna start on Monday! Sometimes we just gotta jump even if we are scared. So we all know what this means. I am gonna be here in Idaho Falls for at least another year. But that is all right with me! I need to take advantage of this time where I am rent-less, baby-less, brain-less (jk ;) and fulfill my dream! I am nervously excited but I think it will be really great. The people who love me have been so supportive of me and encouraging me to do what makes me happy and I am grateful for them who have helped me! I will definitely keep you posted on how it's all going and I might need some people to practice on so let me know if you are willing! :) Once I am done with that dream, I can start on my next one of photography! haha gotta love goals

I just wanted to say that I love my life. Yesterday was full of many things I love. Playing tennis with my favorite person Jared. I know that he wasn't as excited as I was to play, but he trudged through and hit many balls over the fence for me to go get. I got a massage to get all of my HUGE knots out of my neck and back. I wish I could get a massage every week. I think my body NEEDS and DESERVES that kind of treatment. :) I put my sweats on and watched a movie while eating a whole package of reese's. I rented Old Dogs. It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. But I still enjoyed myself. I then went to bed at a decent hour and got lots of good sleep!

I am in love with that new song by Katy Perry and.......Who? Justin Bieber? No....ugh. Can't remember right now....but I LOVE IT!

Stephanie and I saw "Date Night" saturday night. It was hilarious!! I love both Tina Fey and Steve Carell. They were perfect together!

Well, I gotta get back to work! I will write more soon!

Easter Weekend

So I think it's finally time that I post about my Easter weekend! It was such a blast! I drove down to Provo Thursday morning....my family thought I was coming on Friday but I got work off and went down a day early and surprised them! It was a very good April Fool's. :) We spent the day hanging out, playing with Ryder, shopping, and eating lots of good food. Friday was spent pretty much the same way, just spending time with family is always a good thing! Saturday morning we got up and started watching General Conference. Jared was driving down that morning with his parents who were stopping in Ogden for a conference, so I drove up to Ogden and picked him up. We got back in town and ate lunch at Brick Oven (gotta love their root beer! ;) and headed over to go bowling! Jared and my mom have been telling each other that they could beat each other in bowling, so this was their chance to see who the ultimate bowler was. Doug, Beth, and I were there pretty much to be laughed at. The first game was pretty close. Jared wanted to let my mom win since it was her birthday, but I told him to give her some good competition! And it was good competition. But by the second game, my mom wasn't able to bowl as well cause her neck was bothering her and so it was pretty much just Jared creaming us all. But it was still lots of fun! After that Jared and Doug headed over to the priesthood session while us girls played with the baby and made dinner that we ate when the boys got back.

For any of you who have never heard of the game "Ticket to Ride", get with the program and play it!! Its loads of fun! So we played a round of that and had lots of fun. I then went with Jared over to his hotel where his entire family and I watched "The Blind Side" in the main lobby! It was great! We pushed all the couches together and the guy at the front desk let us put in a movie on their big screen. I of course fell asleep, but hey I always enjoy sleeping!
Well, the next day was Easter! And guess what, we woke up to like a foot of snow! In April! We definitely had a white easter!
haha But the Easter Bunny still visited us and it was another great day. General Conference of course! I had tickets to the afternoon session, so Jared and I left after the morning session and headed up to Salt lake! I was really worried we weren't gonna make it in time. It was my first time going and I was super excited so I didn't want it to get ruined by being late. But have no fear, Jared is an excellent fast driver (but also safe!) and we made it in record time. :) Our parking spot rocked and it was such an exciting thing seeing all those people at the center, people giving free hugs, jared knowing people everywhere we go, and getting some pretty good seats. (you can't really tell how good they are by this picture.)
The session was wonderful and it was so much fun to be able to experience that finally! After living in Provo for 5 years I never went and it took me moving to Idaho to finally go! :) When we got back in town Jared had to say goodbye cause he was going back home.

Kenny came and had Easter Dinner with us :)

I stayed in Provo till Tuesday morning so I spent the next couple days watching movies, playing more games, eating lunch with Haylee (it was so good to see her! everytime I go down there it's so hard for us to be able to see each other so it was so nice to finally see her and david again!), going shopping and eating dinner at Chili's with Sarah, and remembering how much I miss Utah! It was a very successful weekend.

I get to see my mom this weekend. I am super excited! I haven't seen her since Ryder was born. It's hard only being able to see her twice a year. I also get to see Beth and Doug and Ryder! Yay! I love my family. And I miss them so much! I will definitely write about our fun times when I get back to Idaho! Happy Easter and Happy General Conference!

Holla!

Hey Everybody! Sorry I have turned into such a slacker at blogging. It's partly because I am not able to get my computer to stay on more than 10 minutes at a time, and the other part is I am always either working or with Jared. But now that he has a job at Chili's he works weekend nights, leaving me lots of time alone. So I should catch up! Life is good. Jared likes his job at Chili's, he caught on super fast, and makes really great tips! I really haven't had anything too exciting happening. I had a job interview this week with Wellsfargo to work as a teller. It went well I think! It was a group interview, there were 6 of us, and a few of the others already had bank experience, so I am kind of nervous about it. I will find out next week sometime if I got the job, so cross your fingers! I would really like a change and I think I would really like being a teller. :)
At the end of this month Jared and I will be going down to Provo for Easter. My mom is flying out from Sacramento for that weekend which is also her birthday and it will be so much fun!
Last weekend I went out with my friend Ashley, had a little girl's night. We went to Chili's for dinner cause we wanted Jared to wait on us, but he got off right as we were getting there. But we ate there anyway and then went and saw "When In Rome". It was great! Such a cute movie and I really loved it. It was such a great night together and I REALLY needed a girls night. :)
Hmmm....what else? Nothing really. I have been housesitting for a friend this past week and it has been so fun! It was nice to have the house to myself, come and go as I please. It's been a little quiet, but I have really enjoyed it! This same family goes and does scout camp all summer so I am probably going to be housesitting for them all summer too!
So I am not so sure what else I can write about now. And I am sorry I suck with taking pictures lately. But hope everyone is well!
